Set the table-scape and call me Sandra Lee, because its cocktail time and it's semi-home made.
Last week, my husbands sister and her family visited from Vienna. I knew for a short trip, we would not eat at home much, but I had bought plenty of snacks to have on hand for when we were home. Including a ton of Georgia peaches.
I may have overbought just a little, because I still had a handful of peaches left when the house emptied out. I saw a post on The Naptime Chef for Roasted Peach Lemonade. But I was exhausted from cleaning for three days, entertaining and then returning the house to normal. And its hotter than Hades in Atlanta, and I didn't want to turn on the oven.
So I just improvised. I peeled the more-than-ripe peaches and threw them into the blender with some store bought lemonade. My daughter was the first to taste test it and declared it to be a "very good smoothie". It was a hit with a three year old. I whipped up more for myself and my husband and added a bit of Kettle One. Delicious.
The next night, I used the last peach and forgot to peel it first. Don't do that. It tasted fine, but the brown-ish color was less than appealing. Also the second time around, I used Champagne instead of vodka. Those bubbles weren't going to last much longer! I hate to see good Champagne go to waste!
Peach Lemonade Coolers
inspired by The Naptime Chef
2 medium sized, ripe peaches, peeled, halved and pitted
1/2 cup lemonade
1 ounce vodka of choice
Puree the peaches and lemonade in a blender until smooth.
Pour vodka over ice in a rocks glass. Top off with peach-lemonade puree.

Delightful Bitefuls
Not a fan of Sandra Lee, but definitely a fan of the looks of this semi-homemade drink. These look amazing!!
Thanks! I guess I should have added that I am also not a fan of sandra lee. It's ironic that I made a semi-homemade cocktail.
I am honored to have inspired you! These look so delicious. :) Best, Kelsey, The Naptime Chef
what a great and refreshing combo
found you via pinterest..already know i love your blog :) can never go wrong with a peaches, lemonade, and any liquid relaxation on a weekend ( or weeknight!!! :) )
omg, found u on pinterest... so gonna make this for my girls night! thanks lovie :)
Has anyone ever tried canned peaches? or Frozen peaches?
Help. I offered to make this for a shower. The pin on pinterest said Sprite. Please tell me how much of everything. I'm serving 20. Rene Platten
Rene, I've never made this with sprite. I would use 1 peach per person. However, I would probably start at 5 cups of lemonade and add more as needed to thin it out. I find when I am doubling recipes, liquids tend to go further.
For the sprite, I would go with maybe 1 bottle. (If I were doing this with vodka for 20, I'd go with a full bottle.)
Good luck! Let me know if the ladies enjoy it.
Found you on Pinterest as well - fantastic site!! Thanks for posting.
I just made a batch of these... for um, well. Myself. using canned peaches, gasp!. It's a keeper for sure, especially when peaches are in season. I can make a big batch and everyone will be happy. Sprite (or just as is) for the kiddos, and a little splash of something for the adults. Thanks!
I just made up a batch of these for um, well, myself. ha. I used canned peaches... it's all I had, and frankly, it was fine. I am sure much better with sweet ripe peaches though. Big hit with me, and I can make a batch to share with the kiddos before the good stuff. Everyone is happy =)
Michelle, I'm glad you posted this because I've been meaning to update this and say I've made this with canned and frozen peaches now and its totally fine with both. I prefer fresh (actually just past their peak, and mostly soft), but frozen is less work because they're already peeled.
And yes, my kids love this, too (sans vodka).
Thanks for the recipe but when you say lemonade, do you mean the can of frozen lemonade or lemonade already made?? Thanks!
You can use whatever lemonade you like best. But if you are using frozen concentrate, I recommend you prepare it per package instructions first instead of using the frozen slush out of the can.
I made with sprite and frozen peaches and it was wonderful!!! Thanks!
This drink looks amazing. I can't wait to try it!
Bellini awesomeness!
I have made these with 1 ripe peach, 1 sm can frozen pink lemonaide, fill the lemonaide can with vodka, pour all into a blender. Fill blender with ice, blend and enjoy. We call these peach fuzzies.
Oh boy! I whole can of vodka? I want to come party at your house! I may actually try your variation this weekend.
Hmmm. It's two in the afternoon and I am on vacation. Was thinking of fixing a snack but I happen to have some frozen peaches and a bottle of champagne in the fridge. Sounds like I have found my snack.
Yum! I should make one of these and go lay on the hammock with a book!!!
I really want to try this. I want to use sprite instead of vodka Could you please tell me the specifics? This looks so yummy! I will only making this for 4 people. Thanks!
I think using frozen peaches would make this a wonderful slushy drink
I think using frozen peaches would make this a wonderful slushy concoction.
I have never made this with sprite. I've seen this alteration several times, but I don't know if they'd still use only 1 ounce or if you'd up the quantity. (Honestly, I use more than an ounce of vodka, but listed 1 ounce in the recipe for the sake of responsibility.)
The famous drink from Europe [RITZ _CARLTON,PARIS;which is having a two year total renovation]....I believe is called a BELLINI it is peeled fresh peaches, and champagne. Drop the Lemonade and their your have a historical event! Also,I would never waste good champagne by not enjoying it ! Smart woman. :-)
So trying this next hot day!
