The kitchen vs. the laundry room

One of the pitfalls of cooking, at least for me, is the toll it takes on my clothes.  Whenever I buy something new, I say to myself, "I'm not going to wear this while I'm cooking, because I'll ruin it".   Inevitably, I wear it and it gets ruined.   For me, it seems to be olive oil staining my clothes.   But I seem to be a magnet for tomato sauce, too.   A few years ago, I discovered Oxyclean.  It has saved my clothes on more than one occasion.    Seriously, a white shirt and beets?  Oxyclean to the rescue.

I've struggled with oil stains on my clothes for years, though.   Until this summer.  I was pregnant with my son and went through my nesting phase.  One day I made an impulse purchase of Pine Sol and cleaned my whole house.  While reading the bottle I discovered you could use it in the laundry.   Since its a degreaser, I decided to spot clean my oil stained shirts and aprons.  And it worked!  Even clothes that had been through the dryer and I thought stains were set into came clean.

Now, I keep a spay bottle of pine sol in my laundry room.  Try it out!
